Negotiate – Opening party

Negotiate: Faye Hall, Lily Karen, Sarah Gilman, Rebecca Ainsworth   Negotiate showcases the work of four female painters and recent graduates from Fine Art Painting BA(Hons) at University Centre St Helens. They have diverse approaches to the act of painting, all exploring the subject of surface and texture. Throughout July and August, a research team from the University of Central Lancashire’s Media Innovation Studio, in partnership with Wigan Libraries D:Circus project, will be exhibiting some newly created musical experiences which blend together elements of play and Japanese culture. The exhibitions will present a range of musical activities, including a digitized Shogi Board, which combines the traditional Japanese game of Shogi with a recently collected archive of Japanese musical instruments.
